HOME is the concept of belonging, safety, love, and joy - ultimately LIFE and life to the full.
Many of my professional interests - women, the unborn, marriage and relationships, children's rights, healthy communities, architectural history etc. - are united by home as a common thread, building a sense of place and culture.
But how can we create a culture where families feel confident welcoming children into their homes? How can organizations help meet physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual needs for human flourishing? If home is where the heart is, then how can restoring our hearts bring us toward home? These are questions to explore together.
We will never perfectly experience home this side of heaven, but we can see daily glimpses of the beautiful place for which we were designed.
Our first home is in the womb. Our ultimate home is heaven.
Journey with Toward Home LLC to explore this concept and build a life-affirming culture together.
Toward Home exists to help build a life-affirming culture - where human dignity is assumed, and relationships are healthy. That means building communities of connection and care where every life belongs.
That’s a big idea, but my particular focus is bringing a theology of the body-based, pro-woman lens to pro-life work. I explore women's health, children's rights, bioethics, pregnancy help, and the many practical ways communities can care for women and families.
I am particularly interested in stories about themes of innovation and collaboration.
Innovation — finding new solutions to old and new problems
Collaboration — learning from one another and asking what we could accomplish together?
Through writing, media appearances, and the Chaney for Change Podcast, I seek to use my voice to speak for women and children.

"Chaney has always been a friend to the Guiding Star Project and it was so helpful to have her as our Conference Consultant last year. She helped me formulate a panel on the ideal birth that is still generating conversations a year later."
Leah Jacobson, CEO Guiding Star Project
"Chaney joined us at the very beginning of the Her PLAN project and helped make it a reality. The huge scope of the concept to catalog and grow resources across 25 categories once seemed impossible to naysayers, but is now a thriving program and a fundamental demonstration of how much mothers are cared for."
Majorie Dannenfelser, President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America
"Chaney is your guide to navigate the pro-life movement. In my mind, her name is synonymous with 'Super Connector.' She has the perfect blend of attributes for the role: deep knowledge, a giving heart, and a shrewd intuition for which connections need to happen. [When she was at Her PLAN] She connected me to five organizations, all of which were helpful, three of which have turned into very significant partnerships to expand our impact."
Nathan Mayo, VP of Programs, True Charity
"Chaney's breathe of scope, experience, and passion in the prolife movement is unique and insightful. I began the acknowledgements of my recent book recognizing her, as she had encouraged me to write what I knew I had to share with others. Her patience recognized my pain within my story. Her focus was my redemeption through and because of Divine Mercy. This Mercy is greater than any obstacle. Because she has taken this to heart, she is filled with hope in the political chaos, the human problems, and the practical challenges of building a prolife community."
